Why we are the best:

A. One School, many different environments:

City Forest Beach
City Forest Beach

B. Academic excellence:

1.  We are the only institute that guarantees that you will receive lessons with college educated teachers.
2.  We use the best textbooks.  Only the two largest national public universities use them because they have more resources than the private Spanish schools.  Ours is the only private school that uses these books.

C.  Comfortable housing near the school with friendly and helpful landlords:

Hosting families are located close to the school (5 to 15 minutes at the most by walking distance). They are very carefully selected and personally chosen by the owner of the Institute.

D.  Owner’s experience:

The owner was once a student like you, and he went to study a foreign language abroad.  He studied English in Cambridge, England. This experience showed him that the hosting family is the other half of the service, and these families we are offering are the kind he would like to have if he were a student.  Their houses are comfortable and nice; they serve very good meals and they are very helpful.

E.  Great location.

Our main location is in Santo Domingo of Heredia, and these are the reasons why we believe our location is the best:

Costa Rica has 4 metropolitan provinces:  San José, Alajuela, Cartago and Heredia.  Cartago is too boring.   Alajuela is nice but it’s too far from San José. This is a disadvantage because San José is nice to go out on weekends.  San José has nice bars and discos; however, it is not very safe.   You want to be close to San José but not to live there.

Heredia, however, is a very safe place and it has very nice landscapes with beautiful mountains, coffee plantations, typical houses, etc.  It is nice also to go out at night.  There are bars and discos, but if you still want more choices you can go to San José and be there in 15 minutes by bus.

Santo Domingo of Heredia is even closer to San José than downtown Heredia because it’s in the border of Heredia and San José.  Also, it is even much more typical than downtown Heredia because it has coffee plantations and typical adobe built houses.

F.  Exclusiveness:

Groups are small with a maximum of 5 students. Besides, each center can not have more than 50 students. This will enable the Institute to provide the students with the best families.

Other institutes have 150 or more students.  But the quality of hosting families decreases in the sense that the location allows only 80% of the students to live in good homes.  It is no surprise that Costa Rica is still not a developed country but a developing country; so most towns in the metropolitan area are usually small.  The other 20% of students will live in families where neighborhoods are not nice or unsafe.  And you do not know where you are going to be located.

Therefore, we have taken this into consideration.  The offer of good, comfortable, nice and safe housing is not an infinite one.  Although we have a goal of reaching 150 students in two years, we will have them in centers of no more than 50 students.  So, for example, we will have 50 in Santo Domingo, 50 at Lake Arenal, and 50 at a beach.
